Eid-ul-Fitr, “festival of breaking of the fast” and the Lesser Eid, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.
I heard that people from all around the city gather at Red Road on the religious day to pray but never witnessed it until last Saturday. It was one the most organised celebration ever. A photowalk was long due and thus we went early to get our sweet spot. Being this my first shoot, I had no idea what should be framed or what the point of view should be at all. Seeing the huge crowd I targeted the children. Thier emotions, change of emotions, love, happiness and their cuteness. Below are some of the photographs I shot at Eid 2015.
At the end of the ceremony, Honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee delivered a wonderful speech regarding secularism being Eid-Ul-Fitr and Rathyatra on the same day and also announced that another college is being named after Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
